Course Objective

• The rapid acceleration of technology is enabling a fundamental reinvention of the structure of financial institution, while inventing the entrance of new competitors with the potential to upend the traditional order of industry. Artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, and other new technologies have upended the global financial services sector, creating oppor- tunities for entrepreneurs and corporate innovators. This course covers digital currencies, blockchains, and related topics in the FinTech area. I hope students have global perspec- tives on technology-fueled transformations in financial services and their structure.
